Entity House, Los Angeles
This small house located in Los Angeles, was haunted by a poltergeist. The home was occupied by Doris Bither and her four sons. In 1974, Bither said that she believed that she was assaulted and raped by three spirits. Investigators witnessed objects being suddenly thrown around, lights randomly flickering on and off and heard phantom noises like loud voices and banging on the walls.

Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary, Alcatraz Island
This infamous maximum security men's prison, known as “The Rock”, on Alcatraz Island operated between 1934 and 1963. According to legend, the Miwok Indians never liked the island, considering it a gathering place for evil spirits. Even today, sounds of rattling chains, strange noises and unexplained gunshots can be heard.

The San Francisco Bay Bridge, San Francisco
This bridge is infamously known for the “ghost cop” that patrols the bridge and has been a sighting for most travellers. When a motorist would pull over, this California Highway Patrolman would disappear out of thin air. Other ghosts haunting the bridge include a man wearing a raincoat with hat, victim who was killed on the bridge during the 1989 Earthquake and few spirits of those who died in accidents.

The Whaley House, San Diego
In its history, Whaley House served as the town courthouse, a general store, a theater, a morgue and a granary. It is believed that the museum is haunted by both the spirits of the Whaley family and many who were executed on the property. Visitors have heard heavy footsteps and witnessed sightings of Thomas Whaley standing at the top of the stairs and a floating apparition in the downstairs rooms.

Permanently docked in Long Beach, the Queen Mary was once a luxury ocean liner and a World War 2 Ferry Ship. Visitors have reported sightings of a headless sailor in the boiler room, lady dressed in white, ghostly children and spirit of the murder victim.

Hotel del Coronado, Coronado
Hotel del Coronado is haunted by a young bride named Kate Morgan and housekeeper who hanged herself. Today, those who check into Kate’s room, which is now room 3312, had spooky experiences like mysterious breezes, curtains blowing, objects moved by unseen hands, murmuring sounds, TV turning on and off by themselves and pulling the covers off the bed. Many had sightings of a woman in a black Victorian dress.

Battery Point Lighthouse, Crescent City
Built in 1856, this iconic lighthouse in Crescent City is the 7th most haunted lighthouse in the United States. It is haunted by three: a child and two adult ghosts. The staff and guests have experienced being touched on their shoulders, a rocking chair moving back and forth on its own, items being moved and heard sounds of someone wearing large boots stomping around.

Greystone Mansion, Beverly Hills
In 1929, four months after Ned Doheny, his wife Lucy and their five children moved into Greystone, Doheny died in a guest bedroom in a murder-suicide with his secretary, Hugh Plunkett. Some believe that Lucy killed them both after finding out they were romantically involved. It is said that the spirits of Plunkett and Doheny still wander the 55-room estate.

Winchester Mystery House, San Jose
The Winchester Mystery House is named for Sarah Winchester, the widow of firearms magnate William Wirt Winchester. The legend is that Winchester was haunted by the ghosts of those who fell victim to Winchester rifles. So she built seven mismatched stories mansion with rooms without rhyme or reason. To confuse the ghosts, doors and stairs were built that led nowhere.

Moss Beach Distillery, Moss Beach
This restaurant on a cliff is haunted by the famous “Blue Lady” ghost. Young woman often dressed in blue was murdered here while walking on the beach. Since the time of her death, her spirit is still thought to hang around the building, looking for her lover.
