Sorrel Weed House, Savannah

The Sorrel–Weed House was built for Francis Sorrel, a wealthy shipping merchant. It is said that Francis Sorrel had an intimate relationship with an enslaved woman in his household. His wife Matilda Sorrel found out about an affair and she jumped off of the home’s balcony and died. Matilda is said to haunt this house.

Windsor Hotel, Americus

Built in 1892, the grand Victorian hotel is well known for its celebrity patrons and spooky stories, including one about chilling sounds of a young girl screaming in the corridors. It is said, the girl and her mother were thrown down the elevator shaft years ago and are said to haunt the place even today.

St. Simons Lighthouse, St. Simons Island

Built in 1872, St. Simons Lighthouse is reputed to be haunted by the ghost of lightkeeper Frederick Osborne, who was killed in a duel with assistant keeper John Stephens in early March 1880. Multiple witnesses have reported hearing the sounds on the steps. It is said that Fred Osborne is coming back to check and make sure that the light is properly cared for.

Moon River Brewing Company, Savannah

Moon River Brewing Company in Savannah is allegedly haunted by angry spirits. The City Hotel is believed to have witnessed a series of violent incidents including lynching, brawls, beatings and shootings. You may encounter the ghost of ‘Toby’ in the basement, ghost of shooting victim ‘James Stark’ in second floor and other apparitions in the billiards room.

Hay House, Macon

Built in 1855 by William Butler Johnston, the house has been called the "Palace of the South." Visitors and staff have claimed seeing apparition of an elderly woman in the hallways & hearing strange sounds from different parts of the mansion. People also reported paranormal activities including wildly swinging chandeliers, oddly acting lights and doors.

The Olde Pink House, Savannah

Built in 1771, the Olde Pink House is said to be haunted by its original owner, James Habersham, Jr. According to patrons and staff, ghostly figures haunt the halls on quiet nights. Other ghosts haunting this charming restaurant and tavern include a man dressed in Revolutionary-style clothes at the bar and ghosts of prank-playing slave children.

Fox Theatre, Atlanta

Built in 1929, the Fox Theatre is said to be haunted by ghost Roosevelt, the man who worked in the boiler room for decades. Apparitions of men and women have been spotted throughout the years in this Moorish-inspired movie palace.

Pirates’ House, Savannah

The Pirates’ House is a historic restaurant and tavern dating back to 1753, making it the oldest standing building in Georgia. The House became infamous for drunken sailors kidnapping and smuggling. Visitors reported apparitions in the upstairs rooms, dining room and heard voices from tunnels underneath the tavern.

Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta

Built in 1850, the Oakland Cemetery is home to the graves of almost 3000 soldiers from the Confederate Army. People have reported soldiers spirits in full uniform walking through the ground as well as hanging from trees.

The Booth House, Bowman
It is said, Mrs. Booth, the local math teacher, used to live in Booth House after her husband died before her death in 2007. Visitors have reported the ghost of an old man, walking in the halls and whispering in ear.
